Leaders from nineteen rural communities recently completed their campus-based training for Commerce's Rural Community Capacity (RC2) program, a unique new program to help increase local governments' capacity to plan, implement, and manage economic development programs and opportunities. Please read below for a message from NCDOT along with a map: "...upcoming closure of Swift Creek Rd. Starting November 7th, the south portion of Swift Creek Rd will be closed, but the north portion will remain open. When we close the south portion of Swift Creek Rd, the signal at the intersection of US 70 and Strickland Rd will be activated (Strickland Rd will be the detour route for Swift Creek Rd). This portion of Swift Creek Rd will be closed for 4 months then reopen."
