Community Share Shed
With the cost of groceries and clothing continuing to rise, it’s becoming harder for many families to put food on the table or cover basic necessities. Our Town's Community Share Shed, created and implemented by Public Works Director Patrick Moore, is here to support our neighbors. All items are donated by community members, Town Hall Staff, and our Police Department.
The Share Shed operates 100% on trust. We invite Wilson’s Mills residents to take what they need and please leave what they can to help others.
Right now, the Share Shed is very low on supplies—and we could use your help! Donations needed include:
- Canned goods (no dented cans, please)
- Non-perishable and shelf-stable food items
- Baby food, clothing and supplies
- Toiletries and paper products
- Blankets
- Jackets and winter accessories (accepted beginning in the Fall)
- Other useful items and necessities
You can bring donations to Town Hall, Monday–Friday, between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, or donate directly to the Share Shed, which is available 24/7 for pick up or drop off. If you do drop off items at the shed, please empty bags/boxes and place items neatly on the shelves. The Share Shed is located at our Town Hall Campus: 4083C Wilson's Mills Road, Wilson's Mills, NC 27577.

Honoring the History of Wilson’s Mills
The Town of Wilson’s Mills is proud to launch a Historical Outreach Project to preserve and celebrate the rich heritage of our community. Through this initiative, we are reaching out to the founding families and long-standing residents to collect stories, photographs, and historical records that trace the town’s journey from its beginnings in 1868 through its incorporation in 1996. Our goal is to create a lasting archive that will be shared through the Town’s website, social media, and future exhibits. This project will help safeguard the unique history of Wilson’s Mills, promote community pride, and lay the foundation for the possible future creation of a Wilson’s Mills Historical Society. We invite all citizens to join us in honoring the past as we build a stronger, more connected future together.
