The Town Logo & Wilson’s Mills’ 30th Anniversary

Town logoThe Town of Wilson’s Mills unveiled its new logo in early 2025 as part of our ongoing branding and messaging efforts. While separate from the official state-designated town seal, the logo visually represents our slogan:

“Wilson’s Mills: Where tradition embraces progress.”
🔸The green sawblade honors the sawmill owned by the founding Wilson family.
🔸The golden swirls reflect Johnston County’s rich agricultural heritage.
🔸The locomotive engine symbolizes progress and the arrival of the railroad in 1868—an enduring part of our town’s story.

While Wilson’s Mills was established more than 150 years ago, 2026 marks the Town’s 30th Anniversary of Incorporation—a milestone we’re proud to celebrate alongside the nation’s 250th anniversary. We’ll be using this special 30th Anniversary logo throughout this year as part of the celebration.

Be sure to check back throughout the year for special events, stories, and ways to celebrate. Residents are also encouraged to subscribe to our monthly Wilson’s Mills Chronicle email for anniversary updates and fun historical facts.
